We are proud to celebrate the achievements of one of our dedicated learners, Chiemeziem Akalezi, who has successfully completed his Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare.
Chiemeziem’s journey through this qualification has been marked by commitment, insight, and a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children in care. He reflected on his training experience with great appreciation and a clear sense of purpose for the future.
“My tutor was very helpful and always took time to render support and always kept in touch with me to ensure I was keeping up with the time scales set. My one-to-one sessions were very useful at work as I took notes after the sessions and applied them over the course of my work, which went a long way in helping with my reflective practice.”
Throughout the course, Chiemeziem embraced every opportunity to grow professionally and apply his learning directly to his role. He found the support from his tutor, Hazel, particularly impactful.
When asked how the training could be improved, he responded:
“Hard to say, as I thoroughly enjoyed the course and was offered adequate support throughout.”
“I intend to apply my learning to practice, particularly the youth justice system and supporting children leaving care, as it is one area I remain passionate about.”
“I would like to thank my tutor – Hazel and the whole team responsible for this program and hope to continue this trajectory and move on to a Level 5 diploma as soon as possible.”
We are incredibly proud of Chiemeziem and his inspiring journey. His dedication and compassionate approach make a lasting impact on the lives of those he supports.
Congratulations, Chiemeziem! We look forward to supporting you as you continue your learning journey.
