Although my experience is vast my passion is teaching, in particular, students who have not had the opportunities many of us have been fortunate to receive. 

David Holmes is non-executive Director and support mentor, a past board member and chairman for over twenty years of Appris Charity Ltd, a training charity organisation for engineering and manufacturing apprenticeships www.appris.co.uk, formally BTAL.

Our Administrator was a Senior Manager in the NHS (Nursing) and latterly owner and Managing Director of a large nursing home.

Our freelance internal verifiers have been cherry picked, experienced in Education and Child Care as well as Apprenticeships.

I am based in West Yorkshire, but willing to Travel.

More frequent trainer visits could have supported progress, and in the future, I’m interested in training on Early Years SENDCO and inclusion. Balancing study with personal commitments was challenging, but Hazel’s support and expertise were invaluable, and more face-to-face interactions would have been helpful.

I learnt so much over the duration of the course, all relevant to practice which I have been able to implement in setting, to strengthen our SEN offering support to both children their carers/parents. I would strongly recommend this course even to those already familiar with the subject because it is so comprehensive and encourages you to reflect on what you already practice.
